Amphibious Movement of Microrobots Inspired by Water Spiders

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the water strider, a novel microrobot is designed to maintain amphibious mobility in complex environments. It retains the ability to traverse the air‐liquid interface and perform directional movement within sophisticated, multifaceted environments, including complex gastric wall structures, with precise controllability.

Abstract Representation of Movement Parameters in Basal Ganglia Output

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The basal ganglia output provides a scalable velocity/position signal across behavioral contexts, supporting the idea that these variables are represented in the brain as abstract entities rather than as fixed changes in joint angles or specific sets of body effectors.

A General High‐Throughput Mucus Microrheology Platform for Quantitative and Scalable Mucus Phenotyping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐throughput Differential Dynamic Microscopy measures frequency‐resolved mechanical fingerprints from 3 to 10 μL$\umu{\rm L}$ mucus samples using only a few minutes of operator attention per sample. This automated analysis enables scalable mucus phenotyping for translational research by distinguishing mechanical heterogeneity among donors, disease ...

Hardware Acceleration of Stochastic Neural Networks Enabled by Bit‐Cell Level Co‐Design of Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An MTJ‐based probabilistic processing‐in‐memory architecture unites nonvolatile storage, local entropy generation, and stochastic computation within each memory cell. Stored multi‐bit weights are converted directly into programmable stochastic bitstreams, enabling neural‐network inference, adaptive Ising optimization, and uncertainty‐aware Bayesian ...

Ferroionic Electrostatic Landscapes Enabling Wireless Energy Harvesting, Storage, and Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
By integrating experiments and electrostatic field simulations, we show that long‐range wireless coupling in Li‐based ferroionics devices emerges from the cooperative interaction between ionic migration and electronic polarization. This coupling sustains self‐polarized electrostatic fields across centimeter‐scale air gaps without external bias or ...
