Supercapacitor leakage in energy-harvesting sensor nodes: fact or fiction? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
As interest in energy-harvesting sensor nodes continues to grow, the use of supercapacitors as energy stores or buffers is gaining popularity. The reasons for their use are numerous, and include their high power density, simple interfacing requirements ...

An Improved Robust H∞ Observer Framework for State-of-Charge Estimation of Lithium-Ion Batteries in Electric Vehicles

open access: yesIEEE Access
Accurate state-of-charge (SOC) estimation is a critical requirement for reliable battery management systems (BMS) in electric vehicle (EV) applications, especially for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) operating under dynamic conditions.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Battery Degradation Maps for Power System Optimization and as a Benchmark Reference

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a novel method to describe battery degradation. We use the concept of degradation maps to model the incremental charge capacity loss as a function of discrete battery control actions and state of charge.

Advancing State of Charge Management in Electric Vehicles With Machine Learning: A Technological Review

open access: yesIEEE Access
As the share of electric vehicles increases, electric vehicles are exposed to broader of driving conditions (e.g., extreme weather), which reduce the performance and driving ranges of electric vehicles below their nameplate rating.

Estimasi State-Of-Charge Menggunakan Simulink Pada Baterai Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
