Methodology for Obtaining Linear State Space Building Energy Simulation Models
Optimal climate control for building systems is facilitated by linear, low-order models of the building structure and of its Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. However, obtaining these models in a practical form is often difficult,

“Dead Lithium” Formation and Mitigation Strategies in Anode‐Free Li‐Metal Batteries
Anode‐free lithium metal batteries, though promising due to their high energy density, face challenges from dead lithium formation. “Dead lithium”, disconnected from the anode, causes capacity loss, increased resistance, and safety risks. This review explores the origins of dead lithium, its impact on battery performance, and potential strategies for ...

Current Trends and Future Research in Management Control for Sustainability in Retail
ABSTRACT The growing emphasis on sustainability in the retail sector, driven by regulatory frameworks, market trends and consumer demand, has placed management control at the forefront of facilitating sustainability practices. Despite increasing academic interest in this area, the literature is fragmented and provides limited sector‐specific insight ...

VISTA-SSM: Varying and irregular sampling time-series analysis via state-space models.
We introduce VISTA, a clustering approach for multivariate and irregularly sampled time series based on a parametric state space mixture model. VISTA is specifically designed for the unsupervised identification of groups in datasets originating from healthcare and psychology where such sampling issues are commonplace.

State Space Model Based PID Controller Tuning
Advances in digital computing over the last years have resulted in new and powerful tools for obtaining process models. An example of such a tool is the dsr toolbox, which gives a state space model based on measured input/output data.

ABSTRACT Industrial clusters are central to the circular economy transition, yet how they develop into eco‐clusters and the paradoxical tensions this transformation fuels remain underexplored. Drawing on 48 in‐depth interviews and secondary data from a Turkish textile‐recycling cluster, we develop an empirically grounded model of eco‐cluster transition

This study presents an integrated workflow to evaluate secure and large‐scale CO2 storage in depleted oil reservoirs of the Cambay Basin, India. Industrial CO2 sources are systematically matched with mature oil fields using a quantitative source–sink framework to minimize transport distance and cost.

A Comparison of Confidence Intervals in State Space Models
This thesis develops general procedures for constructing confidence intervals (CIs) of the error disturbance parameters (standard deviations) and transformations of the error disturbance parameters in time-invariant state space models (ssm).

Abstract Objectives Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) impacts multiple brain networks. Aberrant functional connectivity has been demonstrated in resting‐state networks (RSNs) that mediate higher brain functions in TLE. This study aimed to identify the reproducible patterns of altered functional connectivity in TLE in a large, international cohort through ...
