Is state fiscal policy asymmetric over the business cycle? [PDF]

open access: yes
A number of stabilizers are thought to mute the business cycle. One key stabilizer is federal fiscal policy. The federal budget surplus tends to rise during economic booms and fall in downturns, helping to stabilize consumers’ disposable income and ...

Exploring the Potential of Microwave Annealing for Enhancing Si‐based GeSn Lasers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We explore low‐thermal‐budget microwave annealing to enhance the performance of group‐IV GeSn lasers on Si. Microwave annealing under optimal conditions can simultaneously relax unwanted compressive strain and enhance the material quality of the GeSn active layer, thereby reducing the threshold and increasing the laser operating temperature.

Record High Polarization at 2 V and Imprint‐Free Operation in Superlattice HfO2‐ZrO2 by Proper Tuning of Ferro and Antiferroelectricity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Low‐power ferroelectric capacitors, based on superlattice HfO2‐ZrO2 is reported. With proper tuning of ferro and antiferroelectricity, an imprint‐free high switchable polarization charge (2Pr of 76 µC/cm2) is obtained with 2MV/cm leading to linear analog weight update and non‐volatile retention, providing a design guideline for emerging non‐volatile ...

SOME ASPECTS OF STATE BUDGET [PDF]

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii Constantin Brâncuşi din Târgu Jiu : Seria Economie, 2011
In the modern economy, the market, the public purse money materialized in fact all relations that are contained in the sphere of public finances. The state budget is an economic category that is expressed in the form of values, which mobilizes economic relations, is distributed and used the funds of the state. The state budget is a fundamental category

THE LEVELS OF MARKERS OF COLLAGEN METABOLISM IN CHRONIC PROSTATITIS

open access: yesКубанский научный медицинский вестник, 2016
We have studied the levels of markers of collagen exchange 280 in infertile and fertile patients with chronic prostatitis. All patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 - sterile (140 persons) and group 2 - fertile patients matched for age (140 people)

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Additively Manufactured Porous Ceramics as Tunable Dielectrics for Passive Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Porous ceramic lattices, 3D‐printed from a multicomponent oxide ink, are integrated with LC resonators for passive wireless temperature sensing. By tuning porosity, the dielectric properties and RF response are engineered to produce distinct resonant frequency shifts with temperature. The results establish a structure‐driven approach to customizing the
