Identification of excited states in 140Dy

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2002
Excited structures in the proton-rich nucleus 140Dy have been established following the decay of an 8- isomer. The excitation energy of the isomer is established to be 2.16 MeV with a half-life of 7.3 ± 1.5 ps. The isomer decays into the yrast line at the 8+ state, revealing a rotational band with a deduced deformation of β2 = 0.24(3).

State-Space Based Network Topology Identification [PDF]

open access: yes2020 28th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), 2021
In this work, we explore the state-space formulation of network processes to recover the underlying structure of the network (local connections). To do so, we employ subspace techniques borrowed from system identification literature and extend them to the network topology inference problem.

Enzymatic target identification with dynamic states [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the First ACM International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, 2010
As a metabolic network reaches from a state to a steady state, a subset of its fluxes gradually change. The sequence of intermediate states, called the dynamic state, shows the pattern that the underlying network follows to reach the steady state Understanding this pattern is crucial for metabolic engineering as the intermediate states can lead to ...

WorldForestID: Addressing the need for standardized wood reference collections to support authentication analysis technologies; a way forward for checking the origin and identity of traded timber

open access: yesPlants, People, Planet, 2021
Societal Impact Statement Forest products are the most used inedible renewable resource, but supplies are finite. It is difficult to know which tree species are in wood products or where they come from.
