Key Applications of State and Health Estimation

2017
In the previous two chapters, we have developed theoretical foundation of data-driven methods for lithium-ion batteries. In this chapter, we present test cases to demonstrate applicability and capabilities of these methods for lithium-ion battery state estimation. First, we explore the recursive Bayesian framework for state of charge estimation.

Online State-of-Health Estimation of VRLA Batteries Using State of Charge

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2013
This paper presents an online method for the estimation of the state of health (SOH) of valve-regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries. The proposed method is based on the state of charge (SOC) of the battery. The SOC is estimated using the extended Kalman filter and a neural-network model of the battery.

Health State Assessment and Lifetime Prediction Based on Unsupervised State Estimation

Volume 4: 24th Design for Manufacturing and the Life Cycle Conference; 13th International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems, 2019
Abstract Assessment of system health and prediction of remaining useful life can be performed effectively through the evaluation of degradation levels configured by multiple states. Commonly, degradation progression is modeled according to the specific configuration using existing algorithms with assuming numbers and state conditions ...
