Association Between Dinutuximab Beta Exposure and Post‐End‐of‐Treatment Survival in Neuroblastoma: A Weighted Patient‐Level Analysis of Three Clinical Studies

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives The association between exposure to dinutuximab beta (DB) and event‐free survival (EFS) or overall survival (OS) of neuroblastoma patients was assessed using data collected during three clinical trials (five cohorts). Methods A systematic review (March 2026) was conducted to identify relevant studies (prospective; registered DB ...

State of Health for Lithium-Ion Batteries Based on Explainable Feature Fragments via Graph Attention Network and Bi-Directional Gated Recurrent Unit

open access: yesSensors
Accurate lithium-ion battery state of health estimation is critical for safety and range anxiety mitigation. Existing methods often lack interpretability in the extraction of feature fragments and fail to model spatial correlations between features.

Measurable Residual Disease Monitoring During Treatment for Pediatric Acute Myeloid Leukemia in First Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Survival after relapse in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains poor, highlighting the critical importance of identifying prognostic factors to guide optimal relapse management. Methods We investigated the prognostic impact of multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC) measurable residual disease (MRD) in 188 patients with first ...

Battery State Estimation for Lead-Acid Batteries under Float Charge Conditions by Impedance: Benchmark of Common Detection Methods

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Impedance or admittance measurements are a common indicator for the condition of lead-acid batteries in field applications such as uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.

Survival by Race and Ethnicity in Children and Adolescents/Young Adults With Relapsed/Refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma: A Pooled Analysis of Children's Oncology Group Trials

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Despite 5‐year survival rates of over 90% among children and adolescents/young adults (CAYAs) with classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL), 15%–20% relapse after frontline therapy. Prior analysis of frontline Children's Oncology Group (COG) clinical trials demonstrated that, despite similar rates of relapse, non‐Hispanic Black (NHB) and ...

The Relationship Between Physical Activity and Left Ventricular Remodeling in Childhood Cancer Survivors Treated With Anthracyclines: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Anthracycline‐related cardiac remodeling precedes heart failure in childhood cancer survivors. The objectives of this study were to determine the relationships between patient‐specific factors, moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity (MVPA), and cardiac remodeling.

Trustworthy Machine Learning and Mathematical Modelling for Lithium-Ion Battery State-of-Health Estimation

open access: yesMathematics
Accurate estimation of lithium-ion battery state of health (SOH) is essential for reliable battery management, although SOH cannot be measured directly during normal operation.

ASSIST: Refinement of a Benefits Navigator Intervention Among Low‐Income Pediatric Oncology Families

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Children with cancer living in poverty experience worse survival and quality of life. Interventions connecting low‐income families to benefits (e.g., Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program [SNAP] improve health outcomes; yet nearly 50% of SNAP‐eligible pediatric oncology families are unenrolled.

Battery SOC and SOH Estimation Based on Sage-Husa Extended Kalman Filter and Feedforward Neural Network

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a unified framework for accurate estimation of battery State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) that integrates the Sage-Husa Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) with a Feedforward Neural Network (FNN).

The Health Status of a Population: Health State and Survival Curves and HALE Estimates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we explore the very important case of finding a health measure in the lines of the survival curve but independent of the standard deviation parameter. This is done by estimating the health state curve and calculating the total area under the curve. An interesting comparison with the survival curves is done.
