Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

STRUCTURAL MEASURES OF COMPANIES IN RUSSIA’S STATE PROPERTY

open access: yesСтратегические решения и риск-менеджмент, 2016
We consider structural measures of companies whose stocks are the federal property. Various ways concerning developing efficiency rankings for those companies are also considered.

Unintended Consequences: State Merger Statutes and Nonassignable Licenses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The confused state of most state corporate merger statutes allows many intellectual property licenses to find their way into unintended hands by way of corporate merger, in spite of non-assignment clauses.

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

Объекты государственной собственности

open access: yesPrzegląd Prawniczy Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza, 2015
The study aims at an evaluation of the state property right in the context of its object. The author analyse the features of the state property right according to the object it is related to.

Properties of crystal states [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1969
It is proved that euclidean invariant states describing crystals are not weakly clustering or equivalently that these states exhibit long range order. Further it is shown that a decomposition of an euclidean invariant state into states all of which are invariant for one specific space group, does not yield states with lattice symmetry.

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Unjust enrichment as a principle of Australian constitutionalism [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
This article examines the central role of unjust enrichment in Australian constitutionalism. The Australian Constitution, amongst other things, divides the legislative powers of the Australian federal system between the Commonwealth (central) and State ...
