"Nowadays, a far graver mistake is made: race is confused with nation and a sovereignty analogous to that of really existing peoples is attributed to ethnographic or. rather linguistic groups. " Ernest Renan.18821 Although Jacques Derrida is not usually

Excitation and Relaxation Dynamics of the Photo-Perturbed Correlated Electron System 1T-TaS2
We investigate the perturbation and subsequent recovery of the correlated electronic ground state of the Mott insulator 1T-TaS 2 by means of femtosecond time-resolved photoemission spectroscopy in normal emission geometry.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Testing Linearity of Quantum Theory with a Thermometer
Collapse models postulate that space is filled with a collapse noise field, inducing quantum Brownian motions which are dominant during the measurement, thus causing collapse of the wave function.

First-principles calculation method for electron transport based on grid Lippmann-Schwinger equation [PDF]
We develop a first-principles electron-transport simulator based on the Lippmann--Schwinger (LS) equation within the framework of the real-space finite-difference scheme.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Space Policy and Space Law of Ukraine: “Relatives” or “Strangers” [PDF]
The purpose of this article is to analyze Ukraine’s space policy from the viewpoint of its correlation with space law, to clarify the peculiarities of the respective interaction, its advantages and weaknesses, as well as to develop recommendations for ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
