Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

The uncertain meaning of work in a global risk society / El incierto sentido del trabajo en la sociedad de riesgo global

open access: yesBarataria, 2013
Based on proposed objectives, this article shows the deep structural crisis in which work is involved in Postmodernity. That has meant the loose of security in the context of the weakness of the economic prosperity, the Welfare State, the State itself ...

Self-Similar Dynamical Relaxation of Dark Matter Halos in an Expanding Universe

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the structure of cold dark matter halos using advanced models of spherical collapse and accretion in an expanding Universe. These base on solving time-dependent equations for the moments of the phase-space distribution function in the ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Horizon as Critical Phenomenon

open access: yes, 2016
We show that renormalization group(RG) flow can be viewed as a gradual wave function collapse, where a quantum state associated with the action of field theory evolves toward a final state that describes an IR fixed point.

Multifunctional Crushing and Piezoresistive Self‐Sensing in Conductive Epoxy/CNT‐Coated Polyetherimide TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports lightweight polyetherimide triply periodic minimal surfaces lattices coated with carbon nanotube‐reinforced epoxy that combine mechanical robustness with self‐sensing. The conformal coating enhances stiffness, strength and energy absorption while enabling reliable strain monitoring.

critical stress intensity factor, hole, crack propagation, blasting load

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2018
In order to reflect the influences of bonding in structured soils on the ultimate shear stress ratio and dilatancy law, a dynamic moving critical state line (MCSL), which parallels to the traditional static critical state line (CSL) and moves to the CSL ...
