A Symbolic Approach to the Supervision of State Tree Structures
Proceedings of the 2005 IEEE International Symposium on, Mediterrean Conference on Control and Automation Intelligent Control, 2005., 2005It is well known that the nonblocking supervisory control problem is NP-hard, subject in particular to combinatorial state explosion that is exponential in the number of system components. To manage this complexity we introduce state tree structures (STS), an adaptation of statecharts to the supervisory control theory.

Deducing causes for the absence of states in supervised systems
2019 6th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT), 2019A shortcoming of state-of-the-art synthesis algorithms is the lack of feedback to the user in case a supervisor cannot be synthesized or in case the supervisor is not according the expectations of the user. We present a collection of deduction rules that allow to derive reasons for the absence of a state in a supervised system and provide feedback to ...

Emancipation and the Period of State Supervision
1971In 1834 slavery was abolished in the British colonies, and in 1848 France followed suit. In Holland there was a movement a foot at that time for the abolition of slavery in the Dutch colonies. Around 1840 a group of English Protestants came to Holland in order to exhort their Dutch colleagues to lend their co-operation towards effecting the total ...
