Sign-dependent Value of Time in Stated Preference: Judgment Bias or Exposure of Genuine Preference?

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Transport and Infrastructure Research, 2010
Stated choice surveys may be the most common approach to obtain monetary values of travel time. The large surveys of 1988 and 1997 in the Netherlands and of 1994 in the United Kingdom produced some puzzling outcomes, such as differences in monetary ...

Application of Advanced Stated Preference Design Methodology [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
This paper demonstrates the application of the design methodology developed in the Advanced Stated Preference Design project to stated preference experiments. The paper considers binary response experimental designs of two, three and four variables.

A patient preference study that evaluated fluticasone furoate and mometasone furoate nasal sprays for allergic rhinitis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016

Empirical study of travel mode forecasting improvement for the combined revealed preference/stated preference data–based discrete choice model

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2016
The combined revealed preference/stated preference data–based discrete choice model has provided the actual choice-making restraints as well as reduced the prediction errors. But the random error variance of alternatives belonging to different data would

A Stated Preference Survey for Evaluating Young Pedestrians’ Preferences on Walkways [PDF]

open access: yesSustainability, 2021
For promoting pedestrian mobility, the quality levels of pedestrian paths should be increased. Many researchers suggest methodologies for determining the pedestrian level of service. Among these, some studies consider both paths’ physical characteristics and users’ perception about the walkways.

Handedness: Proficiency versus Stated Preference

open access: yesPerceptual and Motor Skills, 1970
An investigation of performance factors of developed hand preference was undertaken. Measurements taken from both the preferred and nonpreferred hands of 50 males and 50 females yielded scores on 61 dependent variables from 32 tests. Factor analyses of the scores produced 9 interpretable factors of hand performance.
