Isokinetic and static plantar flexion characteristics

European Journal of Applied Physiology and Occupational Physiology, 1980
Isokinetic and static maximum plantar flexion torques were measured in 135 adults with sedentary professions. Close associations between isokinetic and static peak torques were found. Between the ages 20--49 years strength did not differ. Thereafter strength declined as a function of age. Maximum strength was 35% lower in females than in males.

One-dimensional static sheath characteristics

Journal of Applied Physics, 1982
The boundary layer between an electrode biased to a large negative potential (relative to the electron temperature eφ≫kTe ) and a collisionless argon plasma (n∼1×109 cm−3, kTe ∼2.5 eV) was studied using Langmuir probes. A simple model based on Child’s law, including finite electron temperature effects, was fit to data obtained from both cold and ...

Study on the dynamic and static characteristics of gas static thrust bearing with micro-hole restrictors

International Journal of Hydromechatronics, 2019
For the dynamic and static characteristics of the gas static thrust bearing with micro-hole restrictors, a gas static thrust bearing with micro-hole restrictors was designed, manufactured, and experimented.

Static characteristics of Josephson interferometers

Applied Physics, 1978
This investigation deals with the range in operating currents for which a Josephson interferometer, sometimes also referred to as Superconducting QUantum Interference Device (SQUID), may remain in the zero-voltage Josephson condition. An interferometer consists of one or more inductive loops each of which contains two Josephson junctions or other weak ...

Static Performance Characteristics

2001
Sensor performance characteristics are generally divided into at least two categories: static and dynamic. Additional categories sometimes used include drift and exposure errors. The performance of sensors in conditions where the measurand is constant or very slowly changing can be characterized by static parameters.

Dynamic Modeling of Kaplan Turbines Including Flow Rate and Efficiency Static Characteristics

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2019
Models for Kaplan turbines usually assume the runner blades always follow the optimum efficiency relationship, which is not true during transient responses. This misrepresentation can lead to incorrect analysis of system stability.

Research on Static Characteristics of Static Pressure Supporting Cylinder Pair

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
A new radial plunger pump is given which is installed with roller between plunger and stator, the roller is purely rolling on the inner face of stator, reducing the friction force and effectively avoiding the combustion of friction pair in working orde.

Static characteristics analysis of spherical hybrid sliding bearings

Industrial Lubrication and Tribology, 2019
Purpose The spherical hybrid sliding bearings (SHSBs) can be used in ultra-precision and heavy-duty machine tools. However, there is little related research for these bearings.

Experimental Investigation of Static Load Characteristics

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
It is common practice to use 2nd order polynomial load model for steady-state power flow calculation. The paper describes the experiment for obtaining static load characteristics and the technique for identifying coefficients of the load model based on remote metering system data.

Preload effects on the static characteristics of three-lobe journal bearings lubricated with a couple stress fluid

, 2019
The purpose of this paper is to present the effect of the preload on the static characteristics of three-lobe bearings lubricated with a fluid blended with high polymer additives modeled as a couple stress fluid.,Based on the micro-continuum theory, the ...
