Physical Review E, 2005We study numerically the capillary rise between two horizontal plates and in a rectangular tube, using a lattice Boltzmann (LB) method. We derive an equation for the static fluid-solid contact angle as a function of the wetting tendency of the walls and test its validity.

Physics of Fluids A: Fluid Dynamics, 1992Damping rates and natural frequencies of the fundamental axisymmetric mode in circular cylinders were measured when the contact angle between the water and the side walls was acute, obtuse, and about π/2.
