The role of static shear stress on forms of cyclic liquefaction
There are divergent opinions on the effect of static shear stress on resistance to cyclic liquefaction of granular soils. For sand with fines, these issues are even more complicated as it relates to use of an‘equivalent’ initial state parameter in ...

To support future alloy development a powder mixture is processed by laser additive manufacturing. The powder mixture containing Mo‐ and W‐rich tracers is processed by powder bed fusion using single and double laser exposure and by directed energy deposition which provides drastically enlarged melt pools.

A multiscale CFD framework reveals that two‐phase effects fundamentally alter hazardous gas dispersion in urban street canyons. Droplet evaporation, vortex‐driven transport, and ventilation jointly control hazard evolution, with wind speed dominating dispersion while temperature plays a secondary role.

This review systematically covers the full CO₂ flue gas membrane separation chain, finding it cuts energy use by ∼30% versus amine methods, yet faces stability and cost hurdles for large‐scale application. ABSTRACT As global climate change becomes increasingly severe, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies have emerged as a ...
