Experimental and modeling study of fluid pressure-driven fractures in Darley Dale sandstone

open access: yes, 2004
We report measurements of acoustic emissions (AE) generated during formation and growth of pressure driven fractures in cylindrical samples of Darley Dale sandstone that were co-axially pre-drilled in order to allow an internal pressure to be applied.

Estimate of nozzle pressure for firefighting nozzles from static pressure measurement

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2019
Performance evaluations of a firefighting pump are important for inspection of fire equipment. A standard protocol established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is generally employed to measure the firefighting pump performance using

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Measurement of static pressure on aircraft

open access: yes, 1958
Existing data on the errors involved in the measurement of static pressure by means of static-pressure tubes and fuselage vents are presented. The errors associated with the various design features of static-pressure tubes are discussed for the condition

Analysis and Identification of the Flow Pattern in a Specific High-Pressure Axial Turbine in Off-Design Conditions [PDF]

open access: yesفناوری در مهندسی هوافضا
This research aims to identify the flow pattern in off-design conditions of a specific high-pressure axial turbine. The turbine was designed by writing the preliminary design code. Then, the geometry of this turbine was designed in CATIA and Ansys Design

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Experimental study on the influence of roadway shape on the evolution of outburst fluid static pressure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology
To explore the static pressure dynamic disaster mechanism of coal-and-gas outburst (CGO) fluid, the self-developed multi-field coupling large-scale physical simulation test system of coal mine dynamic disaster was used to carry out gas outburst and CGO ...

Experimental investigation of quasi-static pressure characteristics of the confined cabin in the water mist environment

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu
ObjectiveThis study focuses on the quasi-static pressure characteristics of a confined cabin in a water mist environment. MethodsFirst, on the basis of the theoretical model of quasi-static pressure in a confined cabin in adiabatic ideal gas, two new ...
