Anthracene Fluorescence Quenching by a Tetrakis (Ketocarboxamide) Cavitand

open access: yesJournal of Spectroscopy, 2014
Quenching of both fluorescence lifetime and fluorescence intensity of anthracene was investigated in the presence of a newly derived tetrakis (ketocarboxamide) cavitand at various concentrations.

Towards a precision computation of f_Bs in quenched QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We present a computation of the decay constant f_Bs in quenched QCD. Our strategy is to combine new precise data from the static approximation with an interpolation of the decay constant around the charm quark mass region. This computation is the first step in demonstrating the feasability of a strategy for f_B in full QCD.

Combining Metal Additive Manufacturing and Casting Technology: High Performance Cooling Channels for Electric Powertrain Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
When realized as inserts in high‐pressure die casting, aluminum cooling channels for electric powertrain components and similar applications typically require a stabilizing filler to survive the process. The present study investigates relinquishing this filler using additively manufactured inserts promising performance improvements.

Multispectroscopic and molecular docking studies on the interaction of diltiazem hydrochloride with bovine serum albumin and its application to the quantitative determination of diltiazem hydrochloride

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Science, 2022
The interaction between diltiazem hydrochloride (DTZ) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) was probed by fluorescence, UV–vis absorption, Fourier transform infrared, circular dichroism spectroscopies and molecular docking analysis at pH = 7.4.

Performance Comparison of Surface Sensitizers for Diode Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Polyamide 12

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser‐generated nanoparticles transform standard PA12 powders into high‐performance, dye‐free feedstocks for diode laser 3D printing. Despite identical absorbance at 808 nm, CuS, LaB6, and CB coatings reveal striking differences in fusion and strength—unlocking new design space for recyclable, industrial‐grade polymers.

Mesoporous Silica Microspheres by Super‐Fast Alkaline Etching of Micrometer‐Sized Stöber Particles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Microscale silica particles are prepared along with a modified, scalable Stöber synthesis using the continuous addition of tetraethoxy silane to an ethanolic solution of ammonia with KCl. Etching with hydroxide ions at 95 °C gave porous analogs within minutes. Monodisperse particles are isolable in high yield after precipitation in ethanol.

Highly selective and sensitive fluorescent chemosensor for femtomolar detection of silver ion in aqueous medium

open access: yesSensing and Bio-Sensing Research, 2015
The chemical sensing for the trace level detection of silver ion in aqueous solution still remains a challenge using simple, rapid, and inexpensive method. We report that thionine can be used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of Ag+ ion.
