Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

Wilson loops in noncommutative Yang-Mills theory using gauge/gravity duality

open access: yes, 2012
By using the gauge/gravity duality and the Maldacena prescription we compute the expectation values of the Wilson loops in noncommutative Yang-Mills (NCYM) theory in (3+1) dimensions. We consider both the time-like and the light-like Wilson loops.

A Novel Protein‐Polysaccharide Oral Nanoemulsion Targeting Activated Hepatic Stellate Cells to Enhance the Therapeutic Effect of Pirfenidone on Fibrosis After Transarterial Chemoembolization for Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY OF INTERACTION OF INDOMETHACIN AND DACLATASVIR DIGIDROCHLORIDE WITH HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN

open access: yesVìsnik Odesʹkogo Nacìonalʹnogo Unìversitetu: Hìmìâ, 2018
Fluorescence spectroscopy is one of the most effective methods for studying the binding of drugs to proteins, which is important for the purposes of biochemistry and medicine. When studying the interaction in vitro, human serum albumin (HSA) is used as a

Thermalization of holographic Wilson loops in spacetimes with spatial anisotropy

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we study behaviour of Wilson loops in the boost-invariant nonequilibrium anisotropic quark-gluon plasma produced in heavy-ion collisions within the holographic approach.

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Mechanistic interaction study of 5,6-Dichloro-2-[2-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl]isoindoline-1,3-dione with bovine serum albumin by spectroscopic and molecular docking approaches

open access: yesSaudi Pharmaceutical Journal, 2019
A synthesized and promising biologically hypoglycemic compound 5,6-Dichloro-2-[2-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl]isoindoline-1,3-dione (5e) was studied for its binding to a model protein (bovine serum albumin; BSA) by spectroscopic and molecular simulation ...
