Static and dynamic quenching of luminescent species in polymer media
Journal of Fluorescence, 1994A method developed for quantitative determination of static and dynamic contributions to luminescence quenching is applied to Ru(II) complexes in polymer matrices (silica gel and polystyrene), quenched by oxygen. This method is based on both intensity and lifetime quenching experiments.

Evidence for Static Quenching of MLCT Excited States by Iodide
Inorganic Chemistry, 2005The metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) excited states of Ru(deeb)(bpy)(2)(PF(6))(2) [where bpy is 2,2-bipyridine and deeb is 4,4'-(CO(2)CH(2)CH(3))(2)-2,2'-bipyridine] in acetonitrile or dichloromethane were found to be quenched by iodide at room temperature. The ionic strength dependence of the optical spectra gave evidence for ion pairing. Iodide

Rotamer-specific fluorescence quenching in tyrosinamide: Dynamic and static interactions
Journal of Fluorescence, 1991We have examined the environments of the three phenol rotamers about the C(α)-C(β) bond in tyrosinamide by fluorescence quenching. Steady-state acrylamide quenching yields a nonlinear stern-Volmer plot. With three distinct emitting species and no other information about the system, it is impossible to analyze the data due to the number of variables ...

Static solitary wave solution in 1D quantum quenched systems
Physics Letters A, 1985Abstract We use Morita's formulation to describe quenched systems. Through the Holstein-Primakoff (HP) representation we quantize the system in 1D and it gives coupled non-linear Schrodinger equations. We show that a static solitary wave is a solution of these equations.

Static Recrystallization Behavior of Non-Quenched and Tempered Steel 38MnSiVS
Materials Science Forum, 2020Refinement and uniform austenite grains are essential to obtain excellent and homogenous properties for non-quenched and tempered steel, which is mainly affected by static recrystallization of the rolling process. Using the Gleeble-3500 thermal simulation test machine, 20% compression test was carried out for two passes at 850~1050 °C (interval of 50 ...

Static and dynamic quenching of protein fluorescence. I. Bovine serum albumin
Biopolymers, 1975AbstractThe fluorescence parameters, lifetime, relative quantum yield, maximum and mean wavelength, half‐width, and polarization, of bovine serum albumin (BSA) were measured at 15°C in aqueous solutions containing varying concentrations of different chemical perturbants, glycerol, Cu2+ ions, guanidine hydrochloride, and urea. By considering a quenching

Abstract By employing the general kinetic theory proposed recently for treating the diffusion-influenced fluorescence quenching, we investigate the nonequilibrium dynamic effect of the complex formation reaction between the ground state fluorophor and quencher molecules on the time-resolved fluorescence decay curve.

Static and Dynamic Bimolecular Fluorescence Quenching of Porphyrin Dendrimers in Solution
Journal of Fluorescence, 2008The fluorescence quenching kinetics of two porphyrin dendrimer series (GnTPPH(2) and GnPZn) by different type of quenchers is reported. The microenvironment surrounding the core in GnPZn was probing by core-quencher interactions using benzimidazole. The dependence of quencher binding constant (K ( a )) on generation indicates the presence of a weak ...

Static critical phenomena in ferromagnets with quenched disorder
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1985A critical review of the experimental data reported to date on the critical behaviour near the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transition in amorphous ferromagnetic alloys is presented. Extensive magnetization measurements have been performed on several metallic glasses over a fairly wide temperature range around TC (Curie temperature) which embraces ...

Coordination Polymer Nanoarchitecture for Nitroaromatic Sensing by Static Quenching Mechanism
The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2015A nanoscale coordination-polymer (CP) architecture with a π-conjugated backbone (Zn-ata) was synthesized in this work. In aqueous media, this material exhibited a specific fluorescence response to nitroaromatics (detection limits of 0.2–1.3 ppm) but not to nitroaliphatics, despite their similar electron affinities.
