Long Range Magnetic Order and the Darwin Lagrangian
We simulate a finite system of $N$ confined electrons with inclusion of the Darwin magnetic interaction in two- and three-dimensions. The lowest energy states are located using the steepest descent quenching adapted for velocity dependent potentials ...

Holography of Radiation and Jet Quenching [PDF]
We study the non-linear propagation of radiation in {\cal N=4} SYM at zero and finite temperature using the refined radius/scale duality in AdS/CFT.

In human monocytic cells THP‐1, a limited uptake of native—not oxidized—LDL/VLDL induced expression of scavenger receptor A and cellular adhesion. Induction was inhibited by lysosomotropic (WR‐1065) and lipophilic (BHT) antioxidants and by siRNAs against ferritinophagy.

Effect of Quenching Media and Tempering Temperature on Fatigue Property and Fatigue Life Estimation Based on RBF Neural Network of 0.44 % Carbon Steel [PDF]
In this work, the effect of the quenching media (brine, water, and two types of naphthenic mineral oils) and the tempering temperature (200, 400, 600 ∘C) on the static mechanical properties and the fatigue life has been investigated using 300 ...

Critical properties of Sudden Quench Dynamics in the anisotropic XY Model [PDF]
We study the zero temperature quantum dynamical critical behavior of the anisotropic XY chain under a sudden quench in a transverse field. We demonstrate theoretically that both quench magnetic susceptibility and two-particle quench correlation can be used to describe the dynamical quantum phase transition (QPT) properties.

Topological charge density around static color sources [PDF]
We analyze the topological structure of quenched QCD in the presence of static color sources. Distributions of the topological charge density around static quarks and mesons are computed in both phases of QCD. We observe a suppression of topological fluctuations in the vicinity of external sources.

Observables in Strongly Coupled Anisotropic Theories
We review certain anisotropic gauge/gravity dualities, focusing more on a theory with space dependent axion term. Then we discuss and also present some new results for several observables: the static potential and force, the imaginary part of the static ...

A non-perturbative contribution to jet quenching [PDF]
It has been argued by Caron-Huot that infrared contributions to the jet quenching parameter in hot QCD, denoted by qhat, can be extracted from an analysis of a certain static-potential related observable within the dimensionally reduced effective field ...

Abstract The establishment of guidelines and curriculum standards for medical physics residency training is a critical component of setting expectations and competencies for the profession. Since the last publication of these standards, residency training has become integrated into the eligibility criteria for most medical physics certification bodies.
