Static stability of manipulators
Russian Engineering Research, 2009For the manipulator, the equations of motion of the system’s center of gravity and its trajectory equation are obtained. The most hazardous section of the reference contour is determined. For that section, the equation of the tipping line is derived, in terms of the basic manipulator dimensions.

Trulli are remarkable examples of corbelled masonry structures commonly located in Apulia, Italy. This paper focuses on their statics. Trulli domes transfer loads in paths that follows meridians and parallels: idealization of the dome as a system of independent arches is not admissible.

Static Stability of Electrolytes
2023In this chapter, we discuss how stable an electrolyte is during its static storage, highlighting the fact that an electrolyte composition is not always as stated on the label on its container.

Static Output Feedback Stabilization
TENCON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2006This paper presents a new approach to the problem of stabilizing linear systems by static output feedback. It is shown that the problem is solvable if and only if a simple cost function has a negative value. A direct correspondence is established between a stabilizing feedback gain and a point at which the value of the cost function is negative.

For most aircraft, longitudinal dynamic stability is assured if the static margin is positive. However, a statically stable aircraft is not necessarily dynamically stable. The problem of establishing under what conditions static stability is sufficient has recently been considered in Ref. I, by means of two-parameter stability diagrams. It seems to the

Abstract Static stability should not be evaluated from the local lapse rate. There is a growing body of observations, such as within portions of mixed layers and forest canopies, showing that the whole sounding should be considered to evaluate stability. Air parcels can move across large vertical distances to create turbulence within regions that would

Static Stability of a Pipeline
Technical Physics, 2020Based on the assumption of the initial deformed shape of the pipeline without initial stresses, the critical compression force is determined. The pipeline was under the influence of internal and external pressures, compressive forces. A fluid with a given density flowed through the pipeline.

In this chapter, the static stability of rods is examined. The theory of static stability of curvilinear rods is developed for the case when a loss of stability may occur with respect to a new equilibrium state of the rod. In this state, the shape of the rod axis may differ significantly from its shape in the natural configuration.
