Optimum Profile Modifications for the Minimization of Static Transmission Errors of Spur Gears
Journal of Mechanisms, Transmissions, and Automation in Design, 1986A procedure for computing static transmission errors and tooth load sharing was developed for low and high contact ratio internal and external spur gears. A suitable optimization algorithm was used to minimize any combination of the harmonics of gear mesh frequency components of the static transmission error.

Numerical and experimental investigation of a spur gear pair with unloaded static transmission error
Engineering Computations, 2020Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the dynamic responses of a spur gear pair with unloaded static transmission error (STE) excitation numerically and experimentally and the influences of the system factors including mesh stiffness, error excitation and torque on the dynamic transmission error (DTE).

Influence of Actual Static Transmission Error and Contact Ratio on Gear Engagement Dynamics
In the literature, many models for depicting the gear mating dynamics are present. In addition, finite element techniques allow to perform highly representative engagement analysis, but with a high computational effort and in particular only after having defined a semi-definitive geometry.OLIVERI, LEONARDO +2 more

Load Sharing and Quasi-Static Transmission Error of Non-Standard Tooth Height Spur Gears
2020A simple, analytical model for load sharing and quasi-static transmission error of spur gears with non-standard tooth height is presented. It is based on the minimum elastic potential energy principium and considers the influence of profile modifications and tooth deflections.

Mechanism and Machine Theory, 2007
Based on both single and multi degree of freedom models, some original results are presented which establish a formal link between dynamic tooth loads and quasi-static transmission errors in helical gear sets. It is demonstrated that, as long as linear behaviour is considered, a perturbation technique leads to approximate formulae which make it ...

Volume 7: 10th International Power Transmission and Gearing Conference, 2007
This paper details an investigation of the relationship between the static individual torsional mesh stiffness and the static transmission error of gears in mesh. The investigations of the individual torsional mesh stiffness are one of the fundamental concepts in gear analysis and behaviour that have been used in recent years for predicting ...
