Loaded tooth contact analysis of intersected beveloid and cylindrical involute gear pair with small shaft angle

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2018
A working pitch cone based geometry design approach for the intersected beveloid and cylindrical involute gear pair with small shaft angle was proposed. The cutter and geometry design parameters can be determined by the proposed method.

Controlled Synchronization of One Class of Nonlinear Systems under Information Constraints

open access: yes, 2007
Output feedback controlled synchronization problems for a class of nonlinear unstable systems under information constraints imposed by limited capacity of the communication channel are analyzed. A binary time-varying coder-decoder scheme is described and

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Effect of extended tooth contact on the modeling of spur gear transmissions [PDF]

open access: yes
In some gear dynamic models, the effect of tooth flexibility is ignored when the model determines which pairs of teeth are in contact. Deflection of loaded teeth is not introduced until the equations of motion are solved.

Substrate Stress Relaxation Regulates Cell‐Mediated Assembly of Extracellular Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Silicone‐based viscoelastic substrates with tunable stress relaxation reveal how matrix mechanics regulates cellular mechanosensing and cell‐mediated matrix remodelling in the stiff regime. High stress relaxation promotes assembly of fibronectin fibril‐like structures, increased nuclear localization of YAP and formation of β1 integrin‐enriched ...

Computerized Modeling and Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis of Hypoid Gears Manufactured by Face Hobbing Process

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2009
The face hobbing process has been widely applied in automotive industry. But so far few analytical tools have been developed. This makes it difficult for us to optimize gear design.

Effect predictions of web active control on dynamic behaviors of face gear drives

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2019
Face gear dynamics is addressed by many scholars, and vibration suppression of face gear drives is always one of study focuses of face gear dynamics. However, vibration active control solutions of face gear drives are still yet to be constructed.

Media-Based MIMO: A New Frontier in Wireless Communications

open access: yes, 2015
The idea of Media-based Modulation (MBM), is based on embedding information in the variations of the transmission media (channel state). This is in contrast to legacy wireless systems where data is embedded in a Radio Frequency (RF) source prior to the ...
