ACTIVE POWER LOSS REDUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF STATIC VOLTAGE STABILITY MARGIN INDEX BY WATERWAY ALGORITHM

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah SINERGI, 2018
In this paper, the Waterway Algorithm (WA) is used for Active Power Loss Reduction and improvement of Static Voltage Stability Margin Index. The design of the Waterway Algorithm (WA) is imitated from nature and the whole waterway process which involves ...

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

A state-of-the-art review on the modeling and probabilistic approaches to analysis of power systems integrated with distributed energy resources

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal
Modern power systems are shifting toward decarbonization and incorporation of distributed energy resources (DERs) to replace fossil fuel generators. Although promising, DERs introduce uncertainty because of their intermittent nature.

Optimal reactive power dispatch of wind power plant cluster considering static voltage stability for low-carbon power system

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2015
The implementation of developing the wind power is an important way to achieve the low-carbon power system. However, the voltage stability issues caused by the random fluctuations of active power output and the irrational regulations of reactive power ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...
