On a Class of Z+-Valued Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) Processes

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2008
A convolution semigroup of probability generating functions and its related operator ⊙F are used to construct a class of stationary Z+-valued autoregressive moving average (ARMA) processes.

Stationarity of SLE

open access: yes, 2009
A new method to study a stopped hull of SLE(kappa, rho) is presented. In this approach, the law of the conformal map associated to the hull is invariant under a SLE induced flow.

A Neural Networks Committee for the Contextual Bandit Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents a new contextual bandit algorithm, NeuralBandit, which does not need hypothesis on stationarity of contexts and rewards. Several neural networks are trained to modelize the value of rewards knowing the context.

Cautious Gait during Navigational Tasks in People with Hemiparesis: An Observational Study

open access: yesSensors
Locomotor and balance disorders are major limitations for subjects with hemiparesis. The Timed Up and Go (TUG) test is a complex navigational task involving oriented walking and obstacle circumvention. We hypothesized that subjects with hemiparesis adopt

The Color of Noise and Weak Stationarity at the NREM to REM Sleep Transition in Mild Cognitive Impaired Subjects

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
In Older Adults (OAs), Electroencephalogram (EEG) slowing in frontal lobes and a diminished muscle atonia during Rapid Eye Movement sleep (REM) have each been effective tracers of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), but this relationship remains to be ...

Tropical rainfall trend and stationarity analysis

open access: yes, 2020
Climate change is most likely to cause changes to the temporal and spatial variability of rainfall. A trend analysis to investigate the rainfall pattern can detect changes over temporal and spatial scales for a rainfall series.

Graph Variogram: A novel tool to measure spatial stationarity

open access: yes, 2018
Irregularly sampling a spatially stationary random field does not yield a graph stationary signal in general. Based on this observation, we build a definition of graph stationarity based on intrinsic stationarity, a less restrictive definition of ...

Quantifying the Impact of Cathode Composite Mixing Quality on Active Mass Utilization and Reproducibility of Solid‐State Battery Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The origin of variations in solid‐state battery cell performance is explored and traced back mainly to the cathode composite mixing – leading to different fractions of electrochemically active mass. Machine‐mixed composites and the quantification of the electrochemically active mass enhance reproducibility and comparability.
