Analytical Model and Feedback Predictor Optimization for Combined Early-HARQ and HARQ

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In order to fulfill the stringent Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC) requirements towards Fifth Generation (5G) mobile networks, early-Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (e-HARQ) schemes have been introduced, aimed at providing faster feedback

Stationary-state electronic distribution in quantum dots

open access: yes, 2005
We wish to draw an attention to a non-gibbsian behavior of zero-dimensional semiconductor nanostructures, which appears to be manifested in experiments by an effect of incomplete depopulation from electronic excited states or by an effect of up ...

Distribution of the supremum location of stationary processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The location of the unique supremum of a stationary process on an interval does not need to be uniformly distributed over that interval. We describe all possible distributions of the supremum location for a broad class of such stationary processes.

Distributivity and stationary reflections [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1999
In this paper, we present some relations between generalized distributivity of quotient algebras and Mahlo operations, and show that the distributivity implies some variants of stationary relections.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Generalized Product-Form Solutions for Stationary and Non-Stationary Queuing Networks with Application to Maritime and Railway Transport

open access: yesMathematics
The paper advances the theory of queuing networks by presenting generalized product-form solutions that explicitly take into account the service intensity depending on the number of customers in the network nodes, including the presence of multiple ...

Large fluctuations in stochastic population dynamics: momentum space calculations

open access: yes, 2010
Momentum-space representation renders an interesting perspective to theory of large fluctuations in populations undergoing Markovian stochastic gain-loss processes. This representation is obtained when the master equation for the probability distribution

CO2 Reduction on Copper‐Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Catalysts Tuned by Pulsed Potential Electrolysis: Effect of Pulse Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.

Dynamics of stochastic SIQS model based on nonlinear incidence: disease extinction and stationary distribution under degenerate diffusion

open access: yesElectronic Research Archive
This paper investigated the dynamical behaviors of the SIQS (susceptible, infected, isolated, and again susceptible) infectious disease model with nonlinear incidence rate and degenerate diffusion in a stochastic environment.

Stochastically perturbed flows: Delayed and interrupted evolution

open access: yes, 2001
We present analytical expressions for the time-dependent and stationary probability distributions corresponding to a stochastically perturbed one-dimensional flow with critical points, in two physically relevant situations: delayed evolution, in which ...
