Three‐Dimensional Optical and Computational Reconstruction of Colloidal Electrokinetic Flows via Multiplane Imaging and Multiscale Modeling

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Fast 3D multiplane microscopy is combined with multiscale electrokinetic modeling to reconstruct nanoparticle motion around quadrupolar electrodes. This integrated optical‐computational framework reveals the full three‐dimensional structure of colloidal electrokinetic flows, including localized trapping, depletion layers, and complex vortical motion ...

On the free boundary problem for stationary compressible Navier-Stokes equations [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1990
The existence of rotationally symmetric solutions to a stationary free boundary value problem for the motion of a drop of a viscous compressible barotropic fluid is shown. An a priori estimate leads to the proof of the existence of Sobolev space solutions to a Navier-Stokes system in a prescribed domain.

Immobilized CuCl2/TiO2 photocatalysts for the selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
The photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde was investigated using free and alginate‐immobilized CuCl2 and/or TiO2 (P25) catalysts under UV irradiation. Immobilization enabled catalyst recovery and maintained high benzaldehyde selectivity but led to reduced activity due to internal oxygen diffusion limitations, which were ...

Enhancing stroke risk stratification in atrial fibrillation through non‐Newtonian blood modelling and Gaussian process emulation

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Non‐Newtonian modelling and GPEs for stroke risk in atrial fibrilation patients. Abstract Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart arrhythmia, linked to a five‐fold increase in stroke risk. The left atrial appendage (LAA), prone to blood stasis, is a common thrombus formation site in AF patients.

Decay rate of strong solutions to compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations with external force

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
In this article, we consider the three dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations with the effect of external potential force. First, the stationary solution is established by solving a nonlinear elliptic system.

Plane-Parallel Laminar Flow of Viscous Fluid in the Transition Zone of the Inlet Section

open access: yesJournal of Architectural and Engineering Research, 2023
A study was conducted to analyze how hydrodynamic parameters change in the entrance region of plane-parallel flow under stationary flow conditions, with an initial arbitrary distribution of velocities in the entrance section.

Direct Numerical Simulations of Inhalation in a 23‐Generation Lung Model

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering, Volume 42, Issue 8, August 2026.
The first direct numerical simulation of a 23‐bifurcation lung model is carried out. Fast and intense oscillations in the laminar flow are found in deep generations: their time scales are related to the upstream pressure fluctuations, and their intensity is related to upstream flow‐splitting fluctuations.

On the solution of fluid flow and heat transfer problem in a 2D channel with backward-facing step

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2017
The stable stationary solutions of the test problem of hydrodynamics and heat transfer in a plane channel with the backward-facing step have been considered in the work for extremely high Reynolds numbers and expansion ratio of the stream $ER$.
