Stochastic resetting and large deviations

open access: yesSciPost Physics Lecture Notes
Stochastic resetting has been a subject of considerable interest within statistical physics, both as means of improving completion times of complex processes such as searches and as a paradigm for generating nonequilibrium stationary states.

An empirical analysis of the distribution of overshoots in a stationary Gaussian stochastic process [PDF]

open access: yes
The frequency distribution of overshoots in a stationary Gaussian stochastic process is analyzed. The primary processes involved in this analysis are computer simulation and statistical estimation.

Acoustic‐driven surface cleaning with millimeter‐sized bubbles at translational resonance

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Time‐lapse visualization comparing bubble trajectories. The top panel (0 Hz) shows a bubble's linear path under no acoustic forcing, while the bottom panel (50 Hz) demonstrates the oscillatory motion induced by acoustic waves at a resonance mode. This mechanism holds promising potential for applications such as surface cleaning.

Decentralized Trade, Random Utility and the Evolution of Social Welfare [PDF]

open access: yes
We study decentralized trade processes in general exchange economies and house allocation problems with and without money. Such processes are subject to persistent random shocks stemming from agents’ maximization of random utility.

Studying interspecific population synchrony: current status and future perspectives

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Interspecific population synchrony, or co‐fluctuations in the population dynamics and demographic parameters of different species, is an important ecological phenomenon with major implications for the stability of communities and ecosystems. It is also central in the context of biodiversity loss, as interspecific synchrony can influence how ecological ...

INTERVAL PREDICTION OF NON-STATIONARY PROCESSES, DESCRIBED BY STOCHASTIC DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH VARIABLE PARAMETERS

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2019
The task of interval prediction of non-stationary processes of stochastic differential equations described by models with variable parameters is considered. Algorithms of interval prediction in the discrete and continuous time are received.
