Fock Representations of Quantum Fields with Generalized Statistic
We develop a rigorous framework for constructing Fock representations of quantum fields obeying generalized statistics associated with certain solutions of the spectral quantum Yang-Baxter equation.

On Statistics Independent of Sufficient Statistics [PDF]
In an earlier paper (1955) the author stated that any statistic independent of a sufficient statistic must have the same distribution for all values of the unknown parameter. An example is given here to show that the proposition is not true in the generality stated above. Conditions under which the proposition is true are discussed.

Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) lacks iodide uptake ability due to MAPK activation increasing the expression of the histone methyltransferase EZH2, which represses thyroid differentiation genes (TDGs) such as the sodium iodide symporter (NIS). Dual inhibition of MAPK (U0126) and EZH2 (EPZ6438/Tazemetostat) reverses this mechanism, thus restoring TDG ...

The Bayesian Score Statistic [PDF]
We propose a novel Bayesian test under a (noninformative) Jeffreys’ prior speciï¬ca- tion. We check whether the ï¬xed scalar value of the so-called Bayesian Score Statistic (BSS) under the null hypothesis is a plausible realization from its known and ...

The Skewness of the Aperture Mass Statistic
We present simple formulae for calculating the skewness and kurtosis of the aperture mass statistic for weak lensing surveys which is insensitive to masking effects of survey geometry or variable survey depth.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Plant growth analysis presents difficulties related to statistical comparison of growth rates, and the analysis of variance of primary data could guide the interpretation of results.

Differences in Kaizen implementation between countries and industry types in multinational supply chain [PDF]
Previous research shows that Kaizen's benefits are multiple and evident, but its practices in the supply chain have been sufficiently examined now. Conversely, we are witnessing numerous issues in contemporary global supply networks.

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...
