Cluster-randomized Studies in Educational Research: Principles and Methodological Aspects
An increasing number of studies are being performed in educational research to evaluate new teaching methods and approaches. These studies could be performed more efficiently and deliver more convincing results if they more strictly applied and complied ...

Application of optimal data-based binning method to spatial analysis of ecological datasets
Investigation of highly structured data sets to unveil statistical regularities is of major importance in complex system research. The first step is to choose the scale at which to observe the process, the most informative scale being the one that ...

On I-statistical cluster point of double sequences
In this paper we are concerned with the recent summability notion of I-statistically pre-Cauchy real double sequences in line of Das et. al. [6] as a generalization of I-statistical convergence. Here we introduce the notion of double I-natural density and present some interesting properties of I-statistically pre-Cauchy double sequences of real numbers.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

One-loop diagrams in the Random Euclidean Matching Problem
The matching problem is a notorious combinatorial optimization problem that has attracted for many years the attention of the statistical physics community. Here we analyze the Euclidean version of the problem, i.e.

On \(A\)-statistical cluster points
Summary: We study the concepts of statistical cluster points and statistical core of a sequence for \(C_\lambda\) methods defined by deleting a set of rows from the Cesàro matrix \(C_1\). Also we get necessary conditions on matrices \(A\) and \(B\) so that \(A\) and \(B\) are equivalent in the statistical convergence sense, and study the equality ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Estimating the Major Cluster by Mean-Shift with Updating Kernel
The mean-shift method is a convenient mode-seeking method. Using a principle of the sample mean over an analysis window, or kernel, in a data space where samples are distributed with bias toward the densest direction of sample from the kernel center, the

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.
