Characterizing Spatial Patterns of Base Stations in Cellular Networks

open access: yes, 2014
The topology of base stations (BSs) in cellular networks, serving as a basis of networking performance analysis, is considered to be obviously distinctive with the traditional hexagonal grid or square lattice model, thus stimulating a fundamental ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

A comparison of clustering methods for biogeography with fossil datasets [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2016
Cluster analysis is one of the most commonly used methods in palaeoecological studies, particularly in studies investigating biogeographic patterns.

A high signal to noise ratio map of the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich increment at 1.1 mm wavelength in Abell 1835 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We present an analysis of an 8 arcminute diameter map of the area around the galaxy cluster Abell 1835 from jiggle map observations at a wavelength of 1.1 mm using the Bolometric Camera (Bolocam) mounted on the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory (CSO ...

Results on quasi-statistical limit and quasi-statistical cluster points

open access: yesCommunications Faculty Of Science University of Ankara Series A1Mathematics and Statistics, 2020
Summary: In this paper we introduce the concepts of quasi-statistical limit point and quasi-statistical cluster point of a sequence. We give some inclusion results concerning these concepts. We also give the relationship between the Knopp core and quasi-statistical core of a sequence. Finally we state some theorems which deal with quasi-summability and

A-Statistical Cluster Points in Finite Dimensional Spaces and Application to Turnpike Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
In the first part of the paper, following the works of Pehlivan et al. (2004), we study the set of allA-statistical cluster points of sequences inm-dimensional spaces and make certain investigations on the set of allA-statistical cluster points of sequences inm-dimensional spaces.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Performing Cluster Analysis Within a Person-Oriented Context: Some Methods for Evaluating the Quality of Cluster Solutions

open access: yesJournal for Person-Oriented Research, 2016
The paper focuses on the internal validity of clustering solutions. The “goodness” of a cluster structure can be judged by means of different cluster quality coefficient (QC) measures, such as the percentage of explained variance, the point-biserial ...

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.
