Analysis of Statistical Data Quality

2014 Seventh International Joint Conference on Computational Sciences and Optimization, 2014
Statistical data quality refers to the accuracy of the statistics. Accurate and reliable statistics is the important basis for scientific decision and scientific management. Aiming at the phenomenon of some statistical dishonesty problem shown in this paper the causes of this phenomenon are briefly analyzed, and we put forward the measures to improve ...

Data analysis and statistics

Proceedings of the November 7-10, 1966, fall joint computer conference on XX - AFIPS '66 (Fall), 1966
Data analysis is not a new subject. It has accompanied productive experimentation and observation for hundreds of years. At times, as in the work of Kepler, it has produced dramatic results.

Statistical Analysis of Microarray Data

Addiction Biology, 2005
Microarrays promise dynamic snapshots of cell activity, but microarray results are unfortunately not straightforward to interpret. This article aims to distill the most useful practical results from the vast body of literature available on microarray data analysis.

Statistical Analysis of Counter Data

Physical Review, 1936
A general relation is derived for the number of counts registered by a Geiger-M\"uller tube counter or similar electrical counting device exposed to a radioactive source whose strength varies arbitrarily with the time when the counter has a finite, constant resolving time.

Statistical Analysis of Metabolomics Data

2013
Statistical matters form an integral part of a metabolomics experiment. In this chapter we describe several important aspects in the analysis of metabolomics data such as the removal of unwanted variation and the identification of differentially abundant metabolites, along with a number of other essential statistical considerations.

The statistical analysis of shape data

Biometrika, 1989
The paper deals with the statistical shape analysis of landmark data. \textit{F. L. Bookstein} [Stat. Sci. 1, 181-242 (1986; Zbl 0614.62144)] introduced a plausible model and obtained a useful normal approximation for three landmarks. We use exact distribution theory and a normal approximation to consider maximum likelihood estimation.

Statistical Analysis of Behavioral Data

Current Protocols in Toxicology, 2005
AbstractThe statistical analysis of behavioral data follows the collection and checking of the data, and is aimed at assessing the effect of treatments on the observed behaviors. In this unit, different behavioral tests and the response variables collected in each test are briefly described, to introduce a detailed description of the strategies for the

Statistical Analysis of Genomic Data

2013
In this chapter we describe methods for statistical analysis of GWAS data with the goal of quantifying evidence for genomic effects associated with trait variation, while avoiding spurious associations due to evidence not being well quantified or due to population structure.Single marker analysis and imputation are discussed in Sect.
