Multistructure Statistical Model Applied To Factor Analysis

Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1976
A general statistical model for the multivariate analysis of mean and covariance structures is described. Various models, such as those of Bock and Bargmann; Joreskog; and Wiley, Schmidt and Bramble, are special cases. One specialization of the general model produces a class of factor analytic models.

Statistical analysis of nonlinear factor analysis models

British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, 1999
This paper presents a Bayesian analysis of a general nonlinear factor analysis model. Both the non‐informative and conjugate prior distributions are considered. A hybrid algorithm that combines the Metropolis‐Hastings algorithm and the Gibbs sampler is implemented to produce direct estimates of the latent factor scores and the structural parameters ...

Assessing Fit in Ordinal Factor Analysis Models: SRMR vs. RMSEA

Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2020
This study introduces the statistical theory of using the Standardized Root Mean Squared Error (SRMR) to test close fit in ordinal factor analysis. We also compare the accuracy of confidence intervals (CIs) and tests of close fit based on the SRMR with ...

Statistical Approaches to Suicidal Risk Factor Analysis

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1986
Suicide research is a particularly difficult area primarily because of the base rate problem and inadequate case finding. Traditional item-analytic and multiple regression or discriminant function data-analytic methods in suicide research are criticized on several technical grounds, including capitalization on chance, failure to cross-validate, and ...

Statistical Analysis of Hot Channel Factors

Nuclear Science and Engineering, 1960
It is conventional practice in the design of nuclear reactors to introduce hot channel factors to allow for spatial variations of power generation and flow distribution and for manufacturing tolera...

Statistical Analysis of Factors Affecting COVID-19

2021
The large outbreak of the coronavirus also known as COVID-19 is affecting millions of people around the world, and the rate of people being reported as COVID positive is also increasing at an exponential rate and causing adverse effects on the country’s social, economic, public health, and widespread technological stress.

Statistical analysis of factors affecting survival after glioblastoma multiforme

Acta Neurochirurgica, 1977
Statistical evaluation of 71 cases (adults) of histologically confirmed supratentorial surgically treated glioblastoma multiforme seen during the period 1958 to 1973 revealed that the state of calcification as determined by roentgenography and the histological appearance of the neoplasm appeared to have a relationship with the postoperative period of ...
