Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

A potential biomarker of cognitive impairment: The olfactory dysfunction and its genes expression
Abstract Objective Accumulation evidence has reported that olfactory impairment may be an essential clinical marker and predictor of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease. Method Participants were enrolled in the population‐based, prospective study in Fuxin county, Liaoning province, China between 2019 and 2021.

A unified Bayesian framework for interval hypothesis testing in clinical trials [PDF]
The American Statistical Association (ASA) statement on statistical significance and P-values \cite{wasserstein2016asa} cautioned statisticians against making scientific decisions solely on the basis of traditional P-values. The statement delineated key issues with P-values, including a lack of transparency, an inability to quantify evidence in support

Hypothesis Testing based Intrinsic Evaluation of Word Embeddings [PDF]
We introduce the cross-match test - an exact, distribution free, high-dimensional hypothesis test as an intrinsic evaluation metric for word embeddings. We show that cross-match is an effective means of measuring distributional similarity between different vector representations and of evaluating the statistical significance of different vector ...

Statistical fractal analysis in testing the Hypotheses with imprecise data
A new statistical hypothesis testing procedure using fractal analysis, incorporating the concept of lacunarity for interval population parameters when the sample data are real intervals, is introduced.

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Vascular endothelial‐cadherin as a marker of endothelial injury in preclinical Alzheimer disease
Abstract Objective Endothelial dysfunction is an early and prevalent pathology in Alzheimer disease (AD). We here investigate the value of vascular endothelial‐cadherin (VEC) as a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) marker of endothelial injury in preclinical AD.

A Sampling-based Framework for Hypothesis Testing on Large Attributed Graphs [PDF]
Hypothesis testing is a statistical method used to draw conclusions about populations from sample data, typically represented in tables. With the prevalence of graph representations in real-life applications, hypothesis testing in graphs is gaining importance. In this work, we formalize node, edge, and path hypotheses in attributed graphs. We develop a

A method for parameter hypothesis testing in nonparametric regression with Fourier series approach
Nonparametric regression model with the Fourier series approach was first introduced by Bilodeau in 1994. In the later years, several researchers developed a nonparametric regression model with the Fourier series approach.

There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...
