Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Performance of Dense Wireless Networks in 5G and beyond Using Stochastic Geometry

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Device density in cellular networks is expected to increase considerably in the near future. Accordingly, the access point (AP) will be equipped with massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) antennas, using collimated millimeter-wave (mmW) and sub ...

Relevance and evaluation of the benchmark dose in toxicology [PDF]

open access: yesArhiv za farmaciju, 2020
This paper aims to present the importance of the benchmark dose (BMD) as a point of departure (the lowest dose or concentration in the experiment that deviates from the response that differs from the normal response) in toxicological risk assessment, as ...

Area Law and Continuum Limit in "Induced QCD"

open access: yes, 1992
We investigate a class of operators with non-vanishing averages in a D-dimensional matrix model recently proposed by Kazakov and Migdal. Among the operators considered are ``filled Wilson loops" which are the most reasonable counterparts of Wilson loops ...

Numerical study on Schramm-Loewner Evolution in nonminimal conformal field theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE) is a powerful tool to describe fractal interfaces in 2D critical statistical systems. Yet the application of SLE is well established for statistical systems described by quantum field theories satisfying only conformal

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

Revisiting constraints on (pseudo)conformal Universe with Planck data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We revisit constraints on the (pseudo)conformal Universe from the non-observation of statistical anisotropy in the Planck data. The quadratic maximal likelihood estimator is applied to the Planck temperature maps at frequencies 143 GHz and 217 GHz as ...

Nutritional and Behavioral Intervention for Long‐Term Childhood Acute Leukemia Survivors With Metabolic Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a common complication in survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemia (AL), and a major risk factor for premature cardiovascular disease, type‐2‐diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

Transition to reconstructibility in weakly coupled networks. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Across scientific disciplines, thresholded pairwise measures of statistical dependence between time series are taken as proxies for the interactions between the dynamical units of a network.
