VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY TEST OF THE INDONESIAN VERSION OF THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL SEXUAL SELF-CONCEPT QUESTIONNAIRE

open access: yesNurse and Health
Background: One comprehensive instrument for assessing different facets of sexual self-concept is the Multidimensional Sexual Self-Concept Questionnaire (MSSCQ).

CMB likelihood approximation for banded probability distributions

open access: yes, 2013
We investigate sets of random variables that can be arranged sequentially such that a given variable only depends conditionally on its immediate predecessor. For such sets, we show that the full joint probability distribution may be expressed exclusively

Consistency and stability of risk indicators: The case of road infrastructures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Over the last decade, the World Road Association – PIARC and several European research projects, among which Ecoroads, have encouraged a promising reflection on risk analysis methods, acceptance criteria and safety practices applied to the road system ...

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Analysis of Bidirectional Associative Memory using Self-consistent Signal to Noise Analysis and Statistical Neurodynamics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Physical Society of Japan, 2004
Summary: Bidirectional associative memory (BAM) is a kind of an artificial neural network used to memorize and retrieve heterogeneous pattern pairs. Many efforts have been made to improve BAM from the viewpoint of computer applications, and few theoretical studies have been done.

Parton distributions: determining probabilities in a space of functions

open access: yes, 2011
We discuss the statistical properties of parton distributions within the framework of the NNPDF methodology. We present various tests of statistical consistency, in particular that the distribution of results does not depend on the underlying ...

iCrotoK-PseAAC: Identify lysine crotonylation sites by blending position relative statistical features according to the Chou’s 5-step rule

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Among different post-translational modifications (PTMs), one of the most important one is the lysine crotonylation in proteins. Its importance cannot be undermined related to different diseases and essential biological practice.

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Variational and perturbative formulations of QM/MM free energy with mean-field embedding and its analytical gradients

open access: yes, 2008
Conventional quantum chemical solvation theories are based on the mean-field embedding approximation. That is, the electronic wavefunction is calculated in the presence of the mean field of the environment.

The first principles calculation of transport coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We demonstrate the practical feasibility of calculating transport coefficients such as the viscosity of liquids completely from first principles using the Green-Kubo relations.
