Self-consistent significance level as a statistical predictor of epilepsy attack

2021 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), 2021
In this paper we discuss one aspect of kinetic approach to the time series modeling in terms of dynamical system. The main idea of non-stationary analysis is based on the interpretation of kinetic equation for empirical distribution function density as a reduced description of statistical mechanics for appropriate dynamical system.

On the self-consistent statistical theory of vacancies

Solid State Communications, 2012
Abstract We report here a new method of describing the effect of the presence of vacancies on the structure, dynamics and thermodynamics of a crystal. The unsymmetrized self-consistent approximation is used to determine the potential energy in which the defective structure and the anharmonicity appear from the beginning.

Statistical dynamics of classical systems: A self-consistent field approach

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2014
We develop a self-consistent field theory for particle dynamics by extremizing the functional integral representation of a microscopic Langevin equation with respect to the collective fields. Although our approach is general, here we formulate it in the context of polymer dynamics to highlight satisfying formal analogies with equilibrium self ...

Statistically Self‐Consistent and Accurate Errors for SuperDARN Data

Radio Science, 2018
AbstractThe Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN)‐fitted data products (e.g., spectral width and velocity) are produced using weighted least squares fitting. We present a new First‐Principles Fitting Methodology (FPFM) that utilizes the first‐principles approach of Reimer et al.

Statistical model for nanoparticles formation: Self-consistent field approximation

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2015
Abstract In this paper, we propose a statistical model for the formation of metal nanoparticles in a homogeneous infinite medium. The Ising-like Hamiltonian of a system is analysed using the self-consistent field approximation for the lattice-gas model. Exclusively direct atom–atom interactions are considered.

OwMatch: Conditional Self-Labeling with Consistency for Open-World Semi-Supervised Learning

Neural Information Processing Systems
Semi-supervised learning (SSL) offers a robust framework for harnessing the potential of unannotated data. Traditionally, SSL mandates that all classes possess labeled instances.

Self-consistent statistical thermodynamics of an anharmonic one-dimensional crystal surface under pressure

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2021
Abstract In this work, we use the unsymmetrized self-consistent field theory and the Gibbs’s method of excess functions to calculate surface thermodynamic properties of an anharmonic one-dimensional crystal surface under pressure. We find an overall decrease in the anharmonicity while increasing the pressure. Using some specific interatomic potential

Using CHOU'S 5-Steps Rule to Predict O-Linked Serine Glycosylation Sites by Blending Position Relative Features and Statistical Moment

IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, 2020
Glycosylation of proteins in eukaryote cells is an important and complicated post-translation modification due to its pivotal role and association with crucial physiological functions within most of the proteins.
