iPhosH-PseAAC: Identify Phosphohistidine Sites in Proteins by Blending Statistical Moments and Position Relative Features According to the Chou's 5-Step Rule and General Pseudo Amino Acid Composition

IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, 2019
Protein phosphorylation is one of the key mechanism in prokaryotes and eukaryotes and is responsible for various biological functions such as protein degradation, intracellular localization, the multitude of cellular processes, molecular association ...

Excited Vibrational States: Semiclassical Self-Consistent-Field and Statistical Considerations

1987
An overview is presented of recent studies of highly-excited vibrational states using both self-consistent-field (SCF) and statistical descriptions. The SCF scheme is the simplest possible extension of the separable-modes picture, and provides quite adequate characterization of all vibrational levels at relatively low levels of excitation.

Photon-number statistics of twin beams: Self-consistent measurement, reconstruction, and properties

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
A method for the determination of photon-number statistics of twin beams using the joint signal-idler photocount statistics obtained by an iCCD camera is described. It also provides absolute quantum detection efficiency of the camera. Using the measured photocount statistics, quasi-distributions of integrated intensities are obtained.

Statistical Exchange-Correlation in the Self-Consistent Field

1972
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses statistical exchange-correlation in the self-consistent field. There are two sides to a self-consistent field calculation: the determination of the potential and the solution of Schrodinger's equation for the one-electron problem.

Size-dependent melting of nanocrystals: a self-consistent statistical approach

Journal of Nanoparticle Research, 2009
A self-consistent statistical method is used to describe size effects on melting of free nanocrystals. The melting transition is assumed to be directly related to evolution of high-temperature instability of the phonon subsystem of the crystal, caused by strong anharmonicity of atomic vibrations.

Variational and statistical methods for an electron plasma with self-consistent field interaction

Il Nuovo Cimento B Series 11, 1972
The Lagrange and Hamilton functions, and the Liouville equation are developed for an adiabatic electron plasma in which the charged particles interact by the self-consistent electric field. The electrohydrodynamic field equations are obtained by variation of the Lagrangian and functional derivation of the Hamiltonian. As an application, the statistical

Identification of Lysine Carboxylation Sites in Proteins by Integrating Statistical Moments and Position Relative Features via General PseAAC

, 2019
Carboxylation is one of the most biologically important post-translational modifications and occurs on lysine, arginine, and glutamine residues of a protein.
