Statistical multistep reactions: Application
Physical Review C, 1989A model for statistical multistep direct and multistep compound reactions is presented. It predicts (double-differential) neutron and proton spectra including equilibrium, preequilibrium, direct (collective and noncollective) as well as multiple particle emission processes.

In this chapter we compare two methods applied to reduce the dimensionality of data sets. The first method is Principal component analysis, and second method is Factor analysis. We present these methods on data from Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy sets [6]. Earlier we construct an example of applying these methods.

OPTION SURFACE STATISTICS WITH APPLICATIONS
International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance, 2022At each maturity a discrete return distribution is inferred from option prices. Option pricing models imply a comparable theoretical distribution. As both the transformed data and the option pricing model deliver points on a simplex, the data is statistically modeled by a Dirichlet distribution with expected values given by the option pricing model ...

Additional Statistical Applications
2010Majorization has been used as a mathematical tool in a variety of statistical contexts. To illustrate these uses, several examples from diverse areas are given. These examples have been chosen in part be- cause the exposition of the statistical background is minimal, so that the main emphasis lies in the use of majorization. There are other ex- amples,

Special functions are used in almost all areas of statistics. Statistical densities are basically elementary special functions or product of such functions. Hence, the theory of special functions is directly applicable to statistical distribution theory.

Statistical shortcomings in licensing applications
Statistics in Medicine, 1998This paper concerns the statistical work carried out with respect to clinical trials conducted for regulatory purposes. Although the general quality of such work has improved markedly over recent years and is now generally high, a number of shortcomings remain. A few of these arise from failure to follow well established statistical practice.
