Mieszkańcy Drobina w świetle Liber status animarum z roku 1938

This article presents the Catholics of Drobin in the light of Liber status animarum from 1938. The originator of this book was Rev. Feliks Godlewski, Provost of the Drobin Parish in the years 1932–1956. Having analysed the population of Drobin, its demographic structure was presented taking into account such divisions as sex and age.

The parish of Sgonico/Zgonik is the southernmost outgrowth of the Archdiocese of Gorizia, in the wider Karst hinterland of the city of Trieste. The paper deals with the demographic characteristics of the elderly population of this parish during the long nineteenth century based on three parish registers (status animarum).
