Steady‐state mean‐square deviation analysis of the sign subband adaptive filter

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2017
The steady‐state mean‐square deviation (MSD) analysis of the sign subband adaptive filter is proposed. The proposed analysis is derived by the update recursion of the MSD using Price's theorem and chi‐distribution in stationary environments. Experimental results show that the proposed analysis is very close to simulated results not only for white input

Simulation of Cascading Outages Using a Power-Flow Model Considering Frequency

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Many steady-state power-flow-based models for cascading outage simulation have not considered frequency, which, however, is an important indicator of generation-load imbalance.

Deviations from the Steady-State in Ion Transfer through Perm-selective Membranes [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1961
DURING experiments on polarization phenomena of perm-selective membranes, results were obtained which were inconsistent with the generally accepted idea that during the transfer of ions through such membranes by means of a constant direct current, a steady state is established under given experimental conditions1.

Oxidation photochemistry in the Southern Atlantic boundary layer: unexpected deviations of photochemical steady state [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2011
Abstract. Ozone (O3) is a photochemical oxidant, an air pollutant and a greenhouse gas. As the main precursor of the hydroxyl radical (OH) it strongly affects the oxidation power of the atmosphere. The remote marine boundary layer (MBL) is considered an important region in terms of chemical O3 loss; however surface-based atmospheric observations are ...

A Model Predictive Controller With Switched Tracking Error for Autonomous Vehicle Path Tracking

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Autonomous vehicle path tracking accuracy and vehicle stability can hardly be accomplished by one fixed control frame in various conditions due to the changing vehicle dynamics.

Steady-state Fano coherences in a V-type system driven by polarized incoherent light

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
We explore the properties of steady-state noise-induced (Fano) coherences generated in a three-level V-system continuously pumped by polarized incoherent light in the absence of coherent driving.

Hypocalcemia and vaso-occlusive painful crises in pediatric sickle cell anaemia

open access: yesNigerian Journal of Medicine, 2021
Background: Low serum calcium (hypocalcemia) occurs in sickle cell anaemic (SCA) children. Concomitant presence of prolonged corrected QT (QTc) interval on electrocardiogram can ascertain hypocalcemia, especially during vaso-occlusive painful crises (VOC)

Non-equilibrium steady states: fluctuations and large deviations of the density and of the current [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment, 2007
These lecture notes give a short review of methods such as the matrix ansatz, the additivity principle or the macroscopic fluctuation theory, developed recently in the theory of non-equilibrium phenomena. They show how these methods allow us to calculate the fluctuations and large deviations of the density and the current in non-equilibrium steady ...
