Multiple dual mode counter-current chromatography with periodic sample injection: Steady-state and non-steady-state operation

Journal of Chromatography A, 2014
The multiple dual mode (MDM) counter-current chromatography (CCC) separation consists of a succession of two isocratic counter-current steps and is carried out in series alternating between normal phase and reversed phase operation. The performance of the MDM technique can be improved by the sample re-injection between each of the dual-mode steps.

Comparative Study for Steady-State Operation of IAG in Stand-Alone mode using MATLAB and Typhoon HIL

2018 3rd International Conference On Internet of Things: Smart Innovation and Usages (IoT-SIU), 2018
A strong platform to understand steady-state analysis and operation of Isolated Asynchronous Generators using a highly advanced FPGA based Typhoon HIL 402 based emulator and its comparison with Matlab Simulink environment is shown. The advantages of real-time simulators are very well explained with its offline models used in MATLAB. The proposed 7.5 Kw,

Improved steady state and transient behavior of static power converters by means of an operating mode identifier algorithm

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
Nowadays Finite-Control-Set Model Predictive Control (FCS-MPC) is being successfully used in static power converters. The algorithm requires defining a functional in order to optimize it and thus find the best switch combination. So far the functional optimizes either the steady state or the transient operation. In fact, for steady state operation, the

Steady-state mode-locking operation in a laser with a saturable absorber

Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics, 1972
It is shown that a simple correspondence exists between the form of radiation for a steady-state mode-locking operation and the well-known solution of the one-mode problem. The dependence of the amplitude and shape of the pulses on the amount of absorber is determined.

Steady-state mode of operation of the countercurrent reactor. Liquid-liquid heterogeneous system

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2014
A two-temperature model of the countercurrent plug-flow reactor for two chemically interacting liquids, the dispersion (continuous) media and dispersed phase, is developed. It is shown that there is a critical velocity of the dispersion medium that delimits two types of steady-state modes.

Prediction of steady-state operating modes in recycle reactive-distillation systems using the mode of infinite separation efficiency

Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering, 2009
The possibility of using the assumption of infinite separation efficiency for the prediction of steady-state operating modes in recycle reactive-distillation processes is analyzed. It is shown that whether the steady-state operating modes is feasible can be decided by analyzing the detailed pattern of the equilibrium phase diagram for the reacting ...
