On the Discrete–Continuous Modeling of Rotor Systems for the Analysis of Coupled Lateral Torsional Vibrations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Rotating Machinery, 2000
In the paper, dynamic investigations of the rotor shaft systems are performed by means of the discrete-continuous mechanical models. In these models the rotor shaft segments are represented by the rotating cylindrical flexurally and torsionally ...

On dynamic interaction between mechanical systems and selected electric motors [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2019
In the paper there is presented a reliable structural model of the rotating mechanical systems as well as mathematical models of the stepping, synchronous and asynchronous motors, by means of which electromechanical coupling effects can be thoroughly ...

Shape, orientation and magnitude of the curl quantum flux, the coherence and the statistical correlations in energy transport at nonequilibrium steady state

open access: yes, 2015
We provide a quantitative description of the nonequilibriumness based on the model of coupled oscillators interacting with multiple energy sources. This can be applied to the study of vibrational energy transport in molecules.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Modeling the Effects of Horizontal Transverse Vibrations on the Thermal Behavior and the Ampacity of Rectangular Bus Bars

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The purpose of this research is to correctly model steady-state heat transfer in and around rectangular bus bars installed horizontally in an indoor environment and to estimate the corresponding ampacities, considering the effects of horizontal ...

Quasi-steady vortical structures in vertically vibrating soap films

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Mechanics, 1998
An analysis of the quasi-steady streaming of the liquid in a vertically vibrated horizontal soap film is reported. The air around the soap film is seen to play a variety of roles: it transmits normal and tangential oscillatory stresses to the film, damps out Marangoni waves, and forces non-oscillatory deflection of the film and tangential ...

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

On the Modeling of Hysteretic Oscillations of Mechanical Systems [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2015
The paper considers nonstationary vibrations of mechanical systems with hysteretic dampers. To describe the hysteresis, a phenomenological approach is suggested, which is demonstrated on the problem of forced vibrations produced by the antigalloping ...

Forced Transverse Vibration of a Closed Double Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube System Containing a Fluid with Effect of Compressive Axial Load

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2015
Based on the Rayleigh beam theory, the forced transverse vibrations of a closed double single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) system containing a fluid with a Pasternak layer in-between are investigated.
