Exciton-phonon scattering and photo-excitation dynamics in J-aggregate microcavities
We have developed a model accounting for the photo-excitation dynamics and the photoluminescence of strongly coupled J-aggregate microcavities. Our model is based on a description of the J-aggregate film as a disordered Frenkel exciton system in which ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Potential method in the theory of Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoporoelasticity
In the present paper the linear theory of Moore–Gibson–Thompson thermoporoelasticity is considered and the basic boundary value problems (BVPs) of steady vibrations are investigated.

Stick-slip instabilities in sheared granular flow: the role of friction and acoustic vibrations
We propose a theory of shear flow in dense granular materials. A key ingredient of the theory is an effective temperature that determines how the material responds to external driving forces such as shear stresses and vibrations. We show that, within our

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

On dynamic interaction between mechanical systems and selected electric motors [PDF]
In the paper there is presented a reliable structural model of the rotating mechanical systems as well as mathematical models of the stepping, synchronous and asynchronous motors, by means of which electromechanical coupling effects can be thoroughly ...

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

On the Modeling of Hysteretic Oscillations of Mechanical Systems [PDF]
The paper considers nonstationary vibrations of mechanical systems with hysteretic dampers. To describe the hysteresis, a phenomenological approach is suggested, which is demonstrated on the problem of forced vibrations produced by the antigalloping ...
