Advanced Functional Materials for Marine Energy Utilization
Marine renewable energy is an important future clean energy supply. We construct and sort out the material system for marine energy capture and conversion, transmission, storage, and utilization for the first time. ABSTRACT Several features of marine energy, including large reserves, sustainable utilization, environmental friendliness, make it a ...

Abstract Background Bananas (Musa species) are an important staple food and cash crop in many parts of the world. The East African Highland cooking bananas form the backbone of food security for millions of Ugandans. The demand for high quality cooking bananas is thus closely linked to their sensory characteristics (which drive consumer preference) and

CRACKING IN EGCR STEAM GENERATOR TUBE SHEET
During fabrication of the EGCR steam generator cracking occurred in tube sheet of 1 1/4 Cr-1/2 Mo steel. Cracks were found at the torch-cut surface of the tube sheet following oxyacetylene torch cutting and a subsequent 1300 deg F stress relief. Metallographic examination of specimens containing the cracks showed that the tube sheet had fractured ...

Leaf age influences metabolomic profiling but not bioactivity of Eucalyptus globulus essential oils. Leaf age affects volatile levels of young and adult E. globulus oils, but not their bioactivity. Young leaf essential oil had higher contents of α‐ and β‐pinene. AEEO had higher levels of 1,8‐cineole and trans‐pinocarveol.
