Development of a Steel Beam Hauling System for Automatic Steel Beam Assembly
Computing in Civil and Building Engineering (2014), 2014During the assembly process of steel beams, the laborers must stand on narrow steel beams to assemble structures. Locating and bolting are two main steps in the steel beam assembly process. In the locating step, laborers haul and position the steel beam in the target position. In the bolting step, laborers assemble the steel beam with bolts.

Energy Dissipation in Determinate Steel Beams
Journal of Structural Engineering, 1992The aim of this study is to predict the amount of energy dissipated in a statically determinate steel beam due to material hysteresis. The case considered is that of a simply supported beam with a centrally applied point load. For any given central‐deflection limit history, an analysis is made to determine the load‐deformation response.

Design of steel beams and beam columns
Engineering Structures, 1997Beams and beam columns are very important elements in steel structures. In this paper an introduction to the methods of mathematical solutions, to the typical behaviour of these elements and to the design methods used in Eurocode 3 and DIN 18 800 part 2 are given.

Vibrations of Steel-Concrete Composite Beams
Journal of Vibration and Control, 2000This paper is an experimental analytical investigation on the dynamic behavior of steel-concrete composite beams subject to small vibrations. A one-dimensional model of a composite beam is presented, where the elements connecting the steel beam and the reinforced concrete slab are described by means of a strain energy density function defined ...
