ADAPTABLE AND REUSABLE DOUBLE‐SIDED BEAM‐TO‐BEAM STEEL JOINT
Abstract With growing demands for sustainability and circularity in the construction sector, enhancing the reusability of steel components has become a key priority. The European CONNECT4C project addresses this challenge by developing innovative, adaptable steel components that enable flexible and reusable structural systems.

Si‐doped AlCoCrFeNi high‐entropy alloys are synthesized by mechanical alloying to reveal the effect of Si content and milling time on phase evolution, microstructural refinement, and tribological behavior. A transition from FCC to BCC structure, significant grain refinement, and enhanced hardness and wear resistance are achieved, with the 4 at% Si ...

Cable roof with stiffening girder and flexible membrane shell
The framework of the roof, considered in the research, is a two-chord truss-like structure. The chords are joined by vertical struts. They are made of high-strength steel cables. A flexible polymer membrane is attached to the restraining chord.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
