Her Meaning, My Meaning, Our Meanings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
One of the most special places in the world to me is that random collection of marble and skyscraper steel at the end of the National Mall known as the Lincoln Memorial. I\u27ve had so many amazing experiences there.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Composition and Resulting Band Alignment at the TiO2/InP Heterointerface: A Fundamental Study Combining Photoemission Spectroscopy and Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Study on collapse mechanism of steel frame with CFST-columns under column-removal scenario [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The design of structure against progressive collapse has tended towards more quantitative design where utilizing catenary action becomes essential. In this paper, a single internal column removal test was conducted for a 1/3 scale 4-bay steel frame with ...

Continuous‐Flow Photocatalytic Degradation of Glyphosate and Aminomethylphosphonic Acid Under Simulated Sunlight with TiO2‐Coated Poly(vinylidene fluoride) Membrane

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Glyphosate (GLY) and its primary metabolite, aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), are photodegraded using a poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane with immobilized titanium dioxide (PVDF‐TiO2) in a continuous flow‐through operation under solar light. At optimized conditions, the PVDF‐TiO2 membrane achieved 95% GLY and 80% AMPA removal with •O2− as the ...

Sheet steel - mineral wool fire protection in steel columns

open access: yes, 1986
The paper summarizes the results of fire tests of steel columns protected by various number of mineral wool layers separated by aluminium foils and covered by sheet steel box. The influence of different fixing methods and the cracks appearing in the corners of the columns of the efficiency of the protection system were studied.
