Stainless Steel Fiber Reinforcement of Polymethylmethacrylate

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1977
The reinforcement of polymethylmethacrylate with small caliber stainless steel fibers can significantly improve its mechanical properties. While maintaining all the advantages of unreinforced polymethylmethacrylate, it can be demonstrated that compression, flexural tension, tension and impact parameters of cement reinforced with one quarter inch long ...

On the Effectiveness of Steel Fibers as Shear Reinforcement

ACI Structural Journal, 2013
An experimental study on steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams subjected to shear loading tested at the University of Brescia in recent years is presented and discussed. A total of 18 full-scale experiments were carried out, aimed at investigating the effect of randomly distributed steel fibers within the concrete matrix on shear behavior.

Effect of Corroded Steel Fibers on Mechanical Behavior of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete

2020
This paper presents the exposure test results of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) beams having crack width of 0.2 mm for 3 months, 1 year and 2 years. By flexural loading test, initial stiffness of the exposed SFRC beams was decreased with increasing of exposure period. And corrosion of steel fibers themselves was observed at crack surface.

Performance of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Concrete with Steel Fibers and Polypropylene Fibers

Civil Engineering and Urban Planning 2012, 2012
The geometrical size and modulus of fibers are the main factors influencing the mechanical performances of fiber reinforced concrete. The use of different type of fiber in a suitable combination may potentially improve the overall mechanical performances of concrete and result in performance synergy.

The Impact Effect on Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beams with Different Steel Fiber Ratio

2021
Bu çalışmada çelik lif takviyeli beton kirişlerde lif oranının eğilmede çarpma davranışına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çelik lif oranı ile eğilmede çarpma davranışı arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amacıyla aletli ağırlık düşürme sistemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma için kontrol karışımının yanı sıra beton hacminin % 0.25 (19.5 kg/m³), % 0.50 (39 kg/m³) ve % 0.

Steel fiber reinforced concrete

Materials Science and Engineering, 1976
Abstract The task of evaluating what is unknown about fiber reinforced cement or concrete is difficult. One should identify the important aspects which must be investigated, and to a large extent this becomes the opinion of the writer. However, it does appear that more thinking is needed in respect of the details of the basic mechanics of ductile ...

Fiber Reinforced Concrete: Comparative Analysis of Helix Steel Fibers and Plain Steel Fibers in Structural Applications

Journal of Ravishankar University (PART-B)
This is an experimental study focused on studying the effect of adding helix fiber to normal concrete to evaluate compressive strength, tensile strength, stability, elastic modulus, and to improve the desired consistency of the mixture required for workable concrete compared to normal concrete. As concrete is strong in compression and week
