Low‐Activation Compositionally Complex Alloys for Advanced Nuclear Applications—A Review
Low‐activation compositionally complex alloys (LACCAs) are advanced metallic materials primarily composed of low‐activation elements, offering advantages such as rapid compliance with operational standards and safe recyclability. This review highlights their potential for extreme high‐temperature irradiation environments as structural materials for ...

Investigation on cross sheeting thickness and its width in strengthening of steel shear wall under seismic load [PDF]
The steel shear wall, as a system to resist the lateral loads, buckles when it is vulnerable to the lateral loads applied to the frame before it reaches its ultimate strength.

Connection of infill panels in steel plate shear walls [PDF]
The behaviour under cyclic loading of unstiffened steel plate shear wall panels at their connection to the bounding beams and columns was investigated on full-size panel corner details. Four different infill panel connection details were tested to examine and compare their response to quasi-static cyclic loading.

Lateral bracing and steel shear wall integration in steel high-rises
In high-rise building structures, the designers tend to utilize tube systems, or their combination with other structural frame systems, as an efficient lateral resisting structural system. The drawbacks of tube systems include the effect of shear lag and the architectural problems arising from the closely spaced columns. These drawbacks can be remedied

In the present study, metastable CrMnNi steels with varying chemical compositions and a concomitantly altered stacking fault energy are processed via directed energy deposition and afterwards tested via tensile tests at different temperatures. The present study shows the influence of the manufacturing process on the elemental deformation mechanisms for

Finite Element Investigation of a Novel Cold-Formed Steel Shear Wall
In this paper, a novel corrugated steel sheet central sheathed cold-formed steel (CCS-CFS) shear wall is proposed. This shear wall can address the problems of low shear strength and ductility in conventional cold-formed steel (CFS) shear walls caused by ...
